Methodology
COMPO aggregates 29,955 games from major leagues, from June 18, 2011 to September 20, 2026.
Source
Data comes from Leaguepedia, licensed CC BY-SA 3.0. A snapshot provides the long history; recent games are read hourly from Leaguepedia's Cargo API. Joining uses exact game identifiers, which rules out duplicates.

How figures are computed
- Player rating: seasonal Elo — map result plus lane dominance. Scale centred on 1500. Overall = mean of season ratings, with a safety net for short careers.
- Team Elo: same method as the interactive rankings (inter-region weight, blue-side correction, league strength). The 6-month window replays that period's games only.
- Draft assistant: popularity on the recent patch window plus affinity with the board (lift over chance). Measured by replaying real drafts (24% first suggestion, 59% top-5). Limits and details live in the simulator.
- Lane matchups: compositions are ordered by role, so the champion in position i of one team faces position i of the other. No automatic detection involved.
- Duos: the ten possible pairs within a team, over at least 25 shared games. The gap is measured against the champion's own average, not against 50%.
- Signature picks: the team's pick rate divided by the rate observed across its own leagues, over the same period.
- Thresholds: no win-rate gap is shown below its sample threshold. A "best duo" over six games means nothing and is not displayed.
Acknowledged limits
- No per-game bans: the published dataset does not contain them, so no ban enters a composition or a lane matchup. Season ban counts come from a separate aggregate — that is what feeds draft presence.
- Roles come from Leaguepedia's ordering, not from detection.
- Community source, excellent on major leagues but not official.
- Player rating is not a match predictor: team Elo remains better at that.

The aggregated per-champion summary is available as JSON. CC BY-SA 3.0 requires crediting Leaguepedia and sharing alike.
